ABOUT US

Family-Owned Business

We are in the soap making industry but for sure one of a kind. Our factory, Al-Shakaa, has been making the Al-Jamal Soap for more than 140 years. Al-Jamal Soap (meaning “the camel” in Arabic), is a Nabulsi soap produced only in our factory in Nablus in West Bank, Palestine. Palestine is said to be the birthplace of olive oil and is home to some of the world’s oldest olive trees - some as old as 5,000 years. Using this virgin olive oil, which is sourced locally from Palestine, we hand make our soap. It’s completely plant-based and there is no scent, or perfume added. The soap has multiple uses, from using it as skincare, and as shampoo, to washing clothes as a laundry detergent and removing stains.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY

Organic Soap Bar

"I have eczema and psoriasis .
I love this soap . I keep in a separate dish only for me . The lather is lovely , its clean and fresh rinses well. My skin looks great and FEELS great."

Natural Cosmetics

"This reminds me of the lye soap that my grandma always made, but with a more delicate smell. I love the smell of real soap! Now, I won’t have to buy shampoo since it can be used for the hair and scalp also."

Soap Smear

"Was planning on using this for our faces. I was using it on my face and decided to use it as body wash. Wow it lathers up more than my body wash! One shower and I'm sold!"

Bar of Soap

"My skin is extremely sensitive to any added fragrance and chemicals in soap or body wash, so it is always very dry. This soap though? Leaves me feeling clean and moisturized; no irritation, no itchiness, no dryness. Couldn't be happier."

Organic Soap Bar

"It's a hard long lasting bar and the scent is minimal, there ia no added fragrance. It makes your skin feel so soft. You will love the moisturizing quality of this product."

Soap and Lather

"If longevity had ten stars, I would give it a ten. This soap is holding together well after months of use. It still has much to give, but I am not surprised. Very highly recommended, which I rarely write in a review."
